Position Summary:

Complete a three to six month program between college semesters or quarters working as a member of the Facility Engineering team. Under supervision of the Project Managers, Senior Project Manager, and/or Construction Manager, complete assigned projects or assist Project Managers in the completion of projects. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in the completion of pre-remodel checklists.
  • Assist in execution of contractor bid process.
  • Assist in weekly tasks during remodels.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of equipment orders.
  • Assist in tracking equipment orders and scheduling deliveries in accordance with construction schedule.
  • Assist with new store fixturing.
  • Assist with project closeout tasks such as, punch lists, as-builts, final invoicing, and filing.
  • Assist in the inspection of capital projects by comparing them to corporate specifications.
  • Coordinate reviews of refrigeration plans with technician staff.
  • Assist in the review of change orders and their validity.
  • Provide assistance to other Project Managers.
  • Participate in weekly department meetings.
  • Complete specific internship assignments.
  • Complete cumulative summary of internship accomplishments project and present to Executive Team or appropriate Managers.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Working toward a 4-year degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Junior standing or higher at an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • Responds to change as a positive challenge.
  • Significant level of multi-tasking required.
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Commitment to providing customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel independently.
