About this job

This position will report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for overall production employee onboarding to production jobs, job training creation, training scheduling, trainer assessments, and job competency assessments/qualifications. Directs and coordinates activities concerned with the production of company products by performing the following duties personally or through supervisors.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plans, directs, and coordinates production training activities and priorities to obtain maximum efficiency of training competencies aligned with production department goals and staffing requirements.
Reviews, develops, and implements methods, procedures, and reports to track, improve, coordinate, qualify, and train production employees on production, quality, food safety, food quality, safety, and other company policies.
Provides direction to hourly employees in regards to training and proper procedures.
Works closely with Production Supervisors, Human Resources, and Operations Manager on training progression, scheduling needs, coordination of assessments, status updates, and staffing needs.
Assumes responsibility for costs, methods, quality, and quantity of successful training completions.
Promotes a team atmosphere, takes pride in workmanship, must be self-motivated, and provides timely and accurate work.
Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Bachelor degree in related field
Proven record working as a business partner in a lean manufacturing environment
Experience in working with decision makers on training strategies and objectives

Requirements

• High School Diploma required • 4+ years of food processing experience • Proven leadership skills and ability to improve unity of the production department with other areas • Ability to initiate and implement training programs with limited resources • Good problem solving skills and corrective action/resolution skills • Must possess very good organizational and communication skills • Strong computer skills with experience using Word, Excel, Power Point
