Exelis, Mission Support Solutions business unit, a wholly owned subsidiary of Harris Corp., Critical Networks, is seeking a Jr./ Mid-Level Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Range Instrumentation Support (RIS) for the Pacific Range Support Team (PRST) Task Order.
The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is responsible with providing government personnel with policy coordination and interpretation support, general information security support, and assisting with the development and implementation of a defensive security program that protects Information Systems on the Range Instrumentation Support (RIS) for the Pacific Range Support Team (PRST) task order.
The ISSO will develop Cyber Security [Information Assurance (IA)] certification package documentation and work with government-designated case managers for acceptance by the Authorizing Official (AO). The ISSO will perform site surveys and scans to identify Cyber Security vulnerabilities.
Additionally, the ISSO is responsible for ensuring and documenting that all systems are regularly scanned and audited in accordance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) policies and procedures, respond to Cyber Task Orders (CTOs), and report enclave status to the Information Assurance Security Manager (ISSM).
The ISSO will employ multiple scanning tools to detect system and configuration vulnerabilities. The ISSO will determine and report if the requisite Cyber Security patches and remediations have been applied per Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) requirements. The ISSA will also work with System Administrators (SAs) to ensure Cyber Security compliance and maintain system accreditations. Required Experience: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of directly related information security experience. Professional experience and technical Certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required experience includes the following:
- DoD 8570 IAWF Certification for IAM level II or greater.
- Required Certifications: One (or more) of the following: CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP, or CASP.
- At least two years of practical experience working with Cyber Security (Information Assurance) for the Department of Defense.
- Knowledge of certification testing tools (e.g. Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker (SCC), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), and of DoD 8500.1 and 8530 requirements.
**Position requires ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance and an active Secret is required to start. Ability to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance is strongly desired. Desired Skills: -Desired experience includes the following:
- Experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and/or flight test experience
- Networking Experience
- Certifications: One or more Computer Environment (CE) Certification(s) (e.g. Windows, Linux, Cisco)
