About this job

Responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients throughout the organization in the assigned departments on a 24 hour basis. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for the patient seeking emergency care based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Other duties as assigned. Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Certifications:

Current state Registered Nurse license; or eligible for immediate state license.

Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification.

Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.

Current CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) National Certification preferred.

Experience:

Able to meet physical and sensory requirements of job.

Able to successfully complete orientation of job performance.

Able to meet health standards for hospital employment.

Prior acute-care experience preferred, new graduates will be considered.

Must be highly motivated and committed to a quality of care that emphasizes the patient first.
