Home Instead Senior Care® is looking for a steady, multi-tasker to join us in our mission to enhance the lives of aging adults and their families.  This role is at the center of the business with the main responsibility of connecting our caregiving workforce with the needs of our senior clients. This person must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to motivate and inspire a team and effectively respond to the changing needs of the seniors we serve. 

The Service Coordinator manages the day-to-day scheduling operations in our Jackson office. The primary focus will be filling shifts using computer software to match clients with the most appropriate Caregivers. This involves extensive one-on-one interaction via phone with our aging clients, their families, and our Caregiving staff.
The main attributes we are looking for are:
 
  • Ability to handle constantly changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a willingness to work successfully at multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Empathy for aging adults and an understanding of how best to support our Caregivers in what can be a stressful and challenging role.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to work creatively and at times independently to produce an optimum solution.
 
Requirements:
  • High school graduation or the equivalent; Associates Degree or higher education preferred; Caregiver experience is a plus
  • One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Availability to complete some on-call duties
  • Must have a vehicle, current driver’s license, and current automobile insurance.
  • Driving record review, criminal background check, and drug screen conducted in hiring process.
 
The Service Coordinator position is a full-time, Monday through Friday hourly position with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
