PC NETWORK SPECIALIST

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for providing technical support, as required, for all micro computers and network connectivity for Gate Petroleum and its subsidiaries.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Provides technical support, as required, for all micro computers and network connectivity for Gate Petroleum and its subsidiaries.

- Assists with analyzing, monitoring, specifying and maintaining all LANs/WANs to insure maximum response and up time.

- Assists in the evaluation, recommendation, configuration, implementation, maintenance and support of all hardware, software, wiring for Networking Equipment, servers, personal computers and printers.

- Assists in maintaining inventory tracking for all corporate micro computer hardware and software.

- Assists in insuring the completion of adequate backups for all Corporate Office file servers and designated remote sites.

- Provides ongoing user support.

- Assists with user training as required.

- Maintains the confidentiality of data.

- Performs additional duties that may be required by supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED.
  
• Three years of experience in desk-top support and technology and web design and content.
  
• Excellent knowledge of PC desk-top technology and web content administration.
  
• Must be very well organized and able to multi-task.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
