Fastenal's Industrial Services Division supports our stores and our customers through Service Centers across the country, providing services such as Tool and Hoist Repair, Hose Fabrication, Lifting and Rigging, Bandsaw Blade Welding, Calibration, Cutting Tool Recondition, among other high quality professional services.
OVERVIEW:
Working as Part-Time Services Procurement Support for Fastenal's Industrial Services department, you will be involved in all office processes that support the inventory needs of our business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Maintaining Proper Inventory Levels
o Communicating with suppliers regarding purchase orders and service levels
o Answering phone calls and assisting employees from other Fastenal locations
o Providing reports and updates to various levels of the company regarding inventory
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Previous administrative experience
o Previous customer service experience
o Proficient using Microsoft Word & Excel
o Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
o Ability to work alone as well as in a team environment
o Strong math aptitude
o Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
o Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
o Strong problem solving and deductive reasoning skills
o Ability to sit for long periods of time
o Ability to lift packages that may weigh up to 50 lbs
o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Previous purchasing experience.
