Prepare take off to bid structural project
• Prepare scope of work
• Once job on hand, schedule preparation of shop drawings
• Once shop drawings are complete, submit for approval
• During approval stage, make list of materials needed for project and submit out for steel quotes
• After approvals have been return, review, make corrections where needed, order materials, and get fabrication drawings to shop for production.
• Prepare fabrication schedule
• Schedule steel delivery
• Assist President (Engineer) with selection of suppliers or vendors (i.e.: detailers, joists and decking, steel erectors, fastener manufacturer, etc.)
• Be able to manage multiple structural projects
• Monitor and interface with vendors and customers
        Detailers
        Supplying vendors
        Joist & Deck
        Steel Erector
• Order Materials and prepare purchase orders
• Physically verify that all materials ordered were received and report to accounts payable
• Communication with involved parties to clarify designs
• Coordinate shop drawings
• Review shop drawings
• Submit shop drawings to shop
• Submit erection drawings to erectors
• Have experience on design steel connections according to the AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction)
• Handle change orders or alerts and provide solutions
• Have experience on doing detail structural steel pieces (beams, columns, braces, steel framing, steel gates, & trusses)
• Attend project meetings
• Make project field visits to verify project status
• Prepare weekly status report on all projects at hand (developing and active), submit to President.

QUALIFICATIONS
• AutoCAD (Preferred)
• Have experience on design steel connections according to the AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction)
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Acrobat Pro
• Bilingual
• Very good educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering, ( Degree Preferred)
