Maintenance Crew is responsible for maintaining homeowner condominiums, association properties and assets. Ability to make competent decisions while thinking of the customers’ and resort’s interest at all times. Using skill-based knowledge and experience to perform assigned tasks in a professional manner at all times, with a constant focus on productivity, efficiency and quality of work. This position reports to the property manager responsible for the building. People skills are essential and good communication is needed because of guest contact and working with internal departments. Ensure all areas are safe for guests and employees. Basic tool kit will be provided.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily rounds and checks as required by the property manager
  • Attend to any work orders, guest requests, housekeeping requests and property manager requests.
  • Maintain all facilities and operating systems in a safe and efficient working order.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe, timely manner.
  • All work to be completed to the required quality standards.
  • A basic understanding of drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electrics and carpentry is necessary.
  • Ability to follow and complete check lists as required by property manager.
  • Prioritizing and completing work orders and/or preventative maintenance as required.
  • Provide for safe disposal of all waste material.
  • Maintain tools and work area in safe, secure and efficient manner.
  • Work with other internal departments when directed by property manager, which may include directing or working with housepersons to ensure cleanliness of common areas.
  • Keep track of supplies and fill out requisition for needed supplies and submit to property manager.
  • Advise property manager of issues/problems that require work order to be made for PM engineering department.
  • Assist PM engineering when necessary as directed by property manager for rental improvements.
  • Operate all tools per the manufacturer instructions.
  • Assist in training new members.
  • Flexible to changing demands.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, tech or trade school
  • 1-3 years experience as houseman, maintenance, or contractor field
  • Basic Microsoft office skills
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English preferred
  • Willing to work on a changing shift schedule, holidays and weekends
  • Valid Driver's License preferred
  • Must be able to lift for than 50 lbs.
  • Job requires employee to be on their feet, walking and standing, most of the time
