Summary/Objective
As Assistant Sales Manager you are responsible for contributing to and directing of your store team in exceeding their assigned goals and KPI’s as prescribed by AVAIL Vapor. You will be responsible for the leadership of your team to reach any and all goals/ initiatives set for your location. You will be expected to lead by example and live the spirit of AVAIL Vapor in all interactions external and internal. You will be expected to ensure that you and your store adheres to the policies and procedures as designated by AVAIL Vapor.

Sales and Leadership:

  4. Drive your Store Team to create customer engagement that produces memorable supportive experiences with every customer interaction, maximizing every interaction that transform our customers into “raving fans” of AVAIL Vapor.
  5. Ensure that your Store Team is employing strong relational selling practices and maximizing every customer interaction.
  6. Assist in recruiting, hiring and retaining the highest caliber retail Sales Associates (SA’s) within your market.
  7. Maintain a culture of accountability within your Store that acknowledges the need for everyone on your Store Team to grow their revenue and acquire new customers.
  8. Know and abide by everything in our AVAIL Vapor Employee Handbook and Operations Manual, which includes but is not limited to: timeliness, dress code, and personal conduct.
  9. Become the authority on all retail AVAIL Vapor policies and procedures and ensure that your Store Team members are conducting themselves accordingly.
  10. Stay informed on your competition, their selection, their pricing, their promotions and the level of service they provide.
  11. Stay informed on the features and benefits of current devices and “juices”. Be an authority.
  12. Assist in initiating and executing outside Store activities, commonly referred to as “Grass Roots Marketing” to increase traffic and sales at your Store location.
  13. Engage in the ongoing training and development of your people with a commitment to constant improvement which will drive your Store to consistently exceed goals and achieve all KPIs.
  14. Always make sure your Store is clean and looks audit ready.
  15. Ensure inventory counts are completed as prescribed by AVAIL Vapor.
  16. Ensure your Store price cards display current pricing and bundles are correct.
  17. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Operational and Procedural:

  1. Monthly – Assist in conducting monthly Store Sales Meetings to kick off each month covering prior month’s performance and ensuring the team is in alignment on AVAIL Vapor goals/ initiatives for the month.
  2. Daily - Ensure Store is always audit compliant.
  3. Daily - Ensure nightly deposits are made each night.

Store Environment:

  1. Ensure your Store is clean, well lit, dust/dirt free and prepared to “WOW” customers.
  2. Ensure all testers are fully functioning.
  3. Coach in real time, and counsel where necessary.
  4. Go through the Communications Binders every day to insure strong informational flow to all Store team members.
  5. Ensure that your Store is set to Plan-o-gram and merchandising standards.
  6. Ensure back of house (offices, store rooms, bathrooms, etc.) are as clean and well-kept as your sales floor.
  7. Ensure proper marketing materials are displayed.

TIME ALLOCATION OF POSITION
Sales generation Personal/Team/Grass Roots - 80%
Coaching/Counseling/Educating Store Team - 10%
Store operations functions - 10%

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Education and/or Experience -Minimum of two years prior retail store management leadership experience or similar related experience. A college degree is preferred, but not necessary. High School Diploma is necessary.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities - Carries out team lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; providing input for appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Mathematical Ability - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills – MS Office suite, Windows and email
