About this job

We are looking for a Waste Treatment Operator/ Chemical Handler to start in our aerospace plating facility immediately. We are looking to hire the right person with a background in receiving, dispensing, and transferring chemicals and wastewater to their proper locations per FAA and OSHA standards.

Job Description for the Waste Treatment Operator/ Chemical Handler:
Responsible for the operation of the waste water treatment system and equipment.
Responsible for ensuring that the waste water effluent meets all requirements of the discharge permit.
Ensure proper standards for the makeup of new chemical solutions and additions of chemicals to chemical solutions
Accountability for chemical treatment, filtration, and transfer of chemical solutions along with proper disposal of chemical solutions
Responsible for accurate inventory record keeping of chemicals and supplies from receiving to decrements
Must be 100% accurate on cleanliness of waste treatment and chemical storage areas
Maintain all chemical handling equipment
Must read, familiarize and follow completely department procedures and chemical handling safety rules
Responsible for proper labeling, storage, handling and disposal of hazardous waste

Requirements for the Waste Treatment Operator/ Chemical Handler:
Mass Waste Treatment Operators License Grade 2I or higher

Must be able to occasionally lift 50lb containers
Must be able to physically must a 55 drum of chemicals with a barrel truck
2 years experience working with chemical and wastewater handling
Familiar with FAA regulations according to specific waste disposal
HS Diploma or Equivalent
CORI BR check
Initial and random drug testing

Salary and Benefits for the Waste Treatment Operator/ Chemical Handler:

2nd shift Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm
$12-16/hr DOE
Excellent benefit package
12 PAID HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!
