SR UI DEVELOPER - COM - Full-time / Part-time

POSITION PURPOSE -
This Sr. UI developer will specialize in user interfaces and will participate in the technical delivery of projects for the Customer Order Management (COM) team.  The Sr. UI developer will assist in driving all aspects of the project from design through delivery to production. The Sr. UI developer has knowledge in one or more programming languages or databases. This person must have a high level understanding of the IT project life cycle, trends in the IT landscape and be able to influence IT leadership on streamlining those processes. This person must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Our team maintains and enhances the order management process used by Home Depot associates in our stores and in our online business.  We are looking for a passionate developer to join our team and help develop the next generation of web applications used to support these order management processes.  The ideal candidate will be experienced with web user interfaces and interested in both sharing that experience and growing it through future projects.

As part of this role, this developer will be responsible for:

- Working collaboratively with product managers, other development teams, and QA to design and implement business critical solutions.
- Enabling development standards and process.
- Driving our technology stack to a more modern development stack.

Essential Requirements:

1. Need 3 to 5 years of total experience
2. Need 2 to 3 years of recent hands on UI development experience
3. Strong UI level Javascript is a must. Any of the following library or framework experiences are highly preferable – Jquery, JavaScriptMVC, AngularJS, GWT etc. 
4. Experience in Agile/xp project methodologies is preferred
5. Highly prefer experience in a Java framework shop, interacting with Java web services 
6. Automated testing and continuous experience will be preferable, not a requirement

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

• Take business requirements and develop the total technical design for assigned mid-sized projects and ensure proper usage as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production.
• Follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards.
• Conduct appropriate test reviews on assigned projects as necessary. Present findings and offer solutions to management.

 

NATURE AND SCOPE -

• Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology
• No direct responsibility for supervising others.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS –

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must pass the Drug Test.
• Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses

 

EDUCATION REQUIRED -

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
