Banquet Server - Part-time

What you will be doing

• Serve food and beverages in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to IHR's high standards of quality.
• Set-up functions per customer event order- move tables, chairs, audio visual equipment, food service and display containers and materials. 
• Arrange linens and decorative items. 
• Set-up and put away all required items.
• Supply food and beverage service to banquet guests.
• Maintain Marriott standards of Food & Beverage quality and guest service.

Requirements

• Must be knowledgeable of event menu items, their contents, appropriate table settings and service ware, and the correct preparation and garnishing methods.
• Basic English language communication skills.
• The ability to lift and carry large and heavy trays on a continuous basis throughout a shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and associates.
• Prefer 1 year of previous serving experience.
• Must meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
• Food and Beverage service permits required.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Must be able to reach, handle, finger, feel, talk, hear and see.  Standing/walking up to 8 hours with standard rest breaks.
