Structural Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Qualifications:

• 0 - 5 years of experience in the design and analysis of buildings, bridges and other structures
• Structural design experience using steel, cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete, and wood framed construction preferred
• A strong education in structural engineering is required and a master's degree is a plus
• Experience with various types of structural design and detailing software including STAAD, RAM, and AutoCAD preferred; experience with Revit is desirable

Responsibilities:

This individual will work under the supervision of senior structural engineering staff to design projects by coordinating project requirements with clients, in-house staff, and review agencies.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the design of buildings and bridges
• Performing structural design and analysis of steel, concrete, and timber structure elements utilizing structural software
• Applying code requirements
• Developing and checking plan details
• Preparing cost estimates, technical reports, and specifications for buildings, bridges, and other structures
• May be asked to assist with structural design of retaining walls, sign bridges, dams, and other hydraulic structures to support other structural engineering projects
• May be required to provide construction oversight on projects
