Computer Operator I

Computer Operations is a 24/7/365 operation. Associates must be willing and able to work rotating and/or nonstandard work shifts, including evenings, overnight, holidays, and weekends.

Computer Operations provides continuous on-site and remote monitoring of the Network Operations Center, Data Centers and Disaster Recovery sites.

Computer Operations is responsible for monitoring of all network systems, servers, applications and communications that service the Store Support Center, Distribution Centers, Store Operations and Disaster Recovery.

Primary Responsibilities, to be provided during assigned shift:

· Support all enterprise network systems, performing system monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
· Ensure all jobs run in a timely manner, perform troubleshooting and follow established escalation procedures.
· Initiate and monitor tasks related to daily runsheets, and job processing schedules.
· Perform and monitor physical and virtual backup processes. Execute off site media processes, when applicable.
Peform and monitor environmental systems within the Network Operations Center and Data Centers.
· Perform user provisioning and de-provisioning tasks., per approved requests.
· Initiate and monitor hardware and software technical service calls. Work with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
· Provide support to users and remote distribution centers, as needed.
· Create and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures.?

Minimum Qualifications:

· Shift will be 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Candidate must be flexible to work additional/alternate shifts when necessary. Willing to work overtime as required. Must be flexible to take on additional shifts when necessary. Weekends required.
· At least 1 year previous experience within Computer Operations or within Technical Helpdesk, or Technical Support environment.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Candidate must be a quick learner and possess the ability to work independently.
· Must possess the ability to perform duties quickly and efficiently, to ensure support of business critical systems and applications.
· Required to demonstrate skillful problem solving and troubleshooting.
· Must be able to carry out duties independently.
· Must display excellent customer service and interpersonal skills in a demanding service environment.
· Attention to detail is critical to success.
· Candidate must be well motivated and possess a strong desire to be a team player and part of the Dollar Tree Organization.
