The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks an Engineer, Integration for our Wireless Engineering Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Essential Job Functions:
The System Integration & Testing ( SIT) teams at Time Warner Cable is responsible for validating products, platforms, solutions and services prior to deployment to production network. The Wireless Engineering Integration Engineer is responsible for configuration & end to end integration of Wi-Fi access points, and Access Point controllers with various core network elements such as L2 & L3 switches, egress & ingress routers, and policy servers. In addition, he / she is responsible for reviewing test plans and results for clarity and comprehensiveness; generate test cases verify features & functionalities. The candidate must have a proven track record displaying good knowledge of Cisco & Juniper systems configuration & testing, some knowledge of Wireless technologies to support wireless & wired services & solutions. He / she must have the ability to work in a team environment and across multiple organizations.

Responsibilities include:

Participate in test strategy development as well as development of detailed test plans and test cases.

Troubleshooting of Lab & network issues down to interface level.

Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to define testing strategies.

Work with Wireless team members to develop, and execute to, detailed test schedules.

Assess, and clearly communicate, status of initiatives to peers when initiatives are at risk/impacted.

Assess, and clearly communicate, system and solution impacts and priority of problems encountered.

Define ways to mitigate risk when issues are encountered.

Exhibits enthusiasm, confidence, creativity, and curiosity.

Continually evaluate and recommend tools for improving wireless quality test capabilities and efficiency.


Job Requirements:
Four or more years of experience in data center network troubleshooting, & integration, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Cisco and Juniper routing protocols, configuration/IOS, and lab design.

CCNA or CCNP / Juniper Certifications is a plus.

Experience with 802.11 g/n/ac, WiFi certification & testing is a plus.

Proven accomplishments with the testing and/or integration and troubleshooting of Cisco based networks.

Build & validate the wireless specific Cisco & Juniper configurations, integrate with other network elements within the SIT wireless Lab in National Data Center environment (NDC), and verify end to end call flows.

Implementation of VPNs, Firewalls, and CAPWAP tunnels to new MSO partners.

Articulate system impact and assess priority of issues that are found during testing, and escalate to test leads when service-impacting issues arise and threaten schedules.

Provide technical leadership in dealing with Engineering organizations, vendors, Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) / Wi-Fi federation and other partners.

Understand and analyze new technology trends with the goal of selecting the best test tools and testing methodologies.

Coordinate with the Project Management team to ensure on-time delivery of projects and recommend alternatives as necessary

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and strong collaboration skills.

Position requires a self-motivated problem-solver with the ability to work with dynamically changing goals, scope and requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:
Routing and Switching Technologies like Virtual based Routing VRF-lite, OSPF, BGP, IP multicasting, Link aggregation.
Network Security Technologies like Cisco ASA, FWSM in Single and Multiple Virtual Contexts, Check Point NGX/NGAI, Cisco IPS.
VPN and WAN Technologies like SNA’s DLSW, PPP, Remote and Business to Business IPSEC, DMVPN, MPLS’s.
QOS- Cisco MQC using DSCP and IP Precedence, Traffic Shaping and CAR Policing.
Data Center Technologies- Cisco CSS Load Balancers, Cisco UCS Compute Layer, Cisco UCS Manage, Cisco Nexus 3K.
Network Management tools like Solarwinds Orion, OPNET, Cisco Secure ACS Nimsoft, Tuffin, Firemon running on Solaris,
Hands-on experience in testing of IPV4 & IPV6 protocols & troubleshooting.

Working knowledge of Oracle and LDAP databases, Linux and Unix Operating systems.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor ' s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
No Supervisory responsibilities with this position.

Travel 10 %
