Asst Director Business Analysis (60% hands-on role; 40% management)
 

Primary Responsibilities:
• Act as strategic advisor, setting and aligning priorities and having accountability for success of call optimization metrics – transfers, call backs, contacts, repeat calls, etc.
• Take ownership of initiatives, partnering with business leadership and managing program delivery.
• Be a change leader - effectively engage and partner with cross-functional teams (Technology, Facilities, Operations, Training, Reporting Product, Quality, Legal, Regulatory, etc.) to effectively deliver on each project.
• Manage team of project managers and business analysts responsible for delivery of critical projects within the portfolio, ensure organizational alignment on scope, schedule, quality, benefits and implement and monitor appropriate controls to proactively deal with barriers to completion
• Direct project / program management activities for large-scale business priority projects from ideation, business case development, capital funding requests, through program delivery, including scope definition, charters, risk identification and mitigation
• Continues to be an advocate for future quality improvements by partnering with and challenging the business and leadership in system thinking and new ideas
• Understand strategic priorities, anticipate customer needs, gaps in business processes, solve complex problems and implement effective solutions that support business priorities; think strategically and deliver tactically.
• Create and deliver presentations to senior leadership to provide qualitative and quantitative project status updates; ability to account for accomplishments, next steps and support needed
• Serves as a coach, mentor and leader of change management and quality execution, driving a sense of urgency, trust and commitment
• Drives the utilization of Six Sigma methodologies and analytics into organizational operations in order to accomplish business objectives/meet MBO's
• Other duties as assigned by management
 

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and/or equivalent education and experience.
 
• 8 to 10 years of overall experience
• 4+ years of Staff Management experience including HR responsibility
• Extensive hands-on Project Management / Six Sigma experience managing full life cycles, large scale, complex transformational projects, with implementations spanning multiple phases / years.
• 4+ experience working across department boundaries, coordinating with multiple business leaders to achieve strategic project deliverables
• 3+ years of experience in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions required
• Proven ability to effectively select, develop, engage, coach, retain, leverage and mobilize top talent, including virtual teams
• Capable of managing across the spectrum from strategic focus on big picture diagnosis to root cause problem-solving and tactics
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing organizational change and cultural transformation/re-engineering
• Lean and/or Six Sigma Performance Improvement experience and process improvement approaches
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and navigate effectively through ambiguity
• Proficiency in the use of Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and MS Project
• Exemplary presentation skills. Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills, suitable for executive / leadership level
• Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
• Healthcare domain expertise or background working with large call centers


Preferred Qualifications:
• Black Belt certification or actively pursuing
• Six sigma techniques (DMAIC), waste reduction (Lean, Kaizen) and growth (DFSS-DMADV)
• PMP Certification or actively pursuing
• Expertise across multiple PM methodologies, including: Iterative, Lean,  Agile (Scrum) and Six Sigma
