The VP of Network Operations is responsible for the management and financial performance of all NAMM IPA operations.   The position is accountable for network growth and retention, provider contracting and provider services, developing strong relationships with physician partners and building and implementing operational processes to support the company’s strategic direction.  This position is part of the OptumCare – NAMM CA Senior management team. 

Primary Responsibilities:



Oversee all aspects of the day to day operations of the IPAs and provider contracting activities throughout the network  

Accountable for P & L performance of the NAMM  IPAs 

Supervision of IPA Executive Directors, IPA operations and provider contracting 

Delegate, monitor and control work progress on achieving key metrics, key initiatives projects, staff productivity, healthcare costs and administrative expenses 

Participate in the strategic planning process and work closely with the CEO to accomplish the goals and objectives of the company 

Represent the company at various community activities and events.  Network regularly with business leaders in the communities in which the company conducts business 

Establish operational initiatives for improvement on key metrics, including membership growth, financial performance, compensation model structure and provider relations 

Direct IPA budgeting process to include IPA administrative budgets 

Plan and organize priorities, communicate information to staff and monitor progress 

Control resource allocations to local site offices 

Oversee and participate in hospital and large ancillary vendor contract negotiations 

Work with financial analytics and medical management team to identify opportunities to improve quality, care coordination and cost efficiency, which would include implementation of new payor products, reimbursement models,  and advanced care and quality improvement programs  

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 



Master’s degree (MA) or equivalent; or ten to fifteen years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

10 - 15 years experienced leader in business operations with appropriate industry experience in the healthcare field 

Energetic, forward-thinking and creative leader  

High ethical standards and an appropriate professional image  

Strategic planner with good judgment, high financial acumen and strong operational focus 

Well-organized, self-directed individual and a team player  

Intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills 

Good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor
