Project Manager

Aerotek is seeking an APM to join their Commercial Solar team. This APM will be responsible for handling submittals, RFIs, and change order as well as supervise teams on site. They will be asked to work independently as well as with the PMs and Senior PMs. This person must have experience working directly for a GC and a proven interested in the solar industry. Again- since this is a solar company, the candidate must have an interest in solar or alternative energy.

Candidate must have:

-1-3 years of experience in construction, an internship would also work

-proven interest in alternative energy (solar decathlon, solar internship, alternative energy intership, minor in sustainable energy

-desire to become a Construction Project Manager

-Bachelor in engineering, construction or sciences

% Breakdown:
20%: Develop project budget and estimates, develop scope of work and milestone schedule
30%: Manage pre-construction and design development phase (permitting, manage/prepare project bill of materials, run ALL pre-construction meetings for client and internal)
20%: Manage all project financials (change orders, project billing cycle, review/approval of capital expenditures for subs/staffing)
25%: Manage subcontractor relationships (develop bid packages, prepare/negotiate subcontracts)
5%: Manage overall document controls (maintain logs for RFI's, develop detailed status reports)
