One of the premier fuel transport companies in North America, FuelMaster Transport, LLC is looking for a few highly motivated and Safety committed professionals for the position of Class A CDL Fuel Tanker driver. The commercial driver is responsible for the loading, transporting, and delivery of fuel to clients within a designated region.

Are you a CDL driver looking for a rewarding position that allows you to be home every night? We have both part time and full time openings. This position will drive fuel truck to deliver diesel, gasoline and Kerosene to customers within a 100 mile radius of Indianapolis by performing the following duties:

Major Purpose:
To safely load, transport and deliver diesel and gasoline fuel as requested by our customer(s) in strict adherence to standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities / Job Duties: 

  • Makes a commitment to work without an occurrence; no spills, no injuries and no property damage
  • Retrieve dispatch instructions & ensure authorization for loading at all terminals
  • Validate correct supplier when initiating the load sequence
  • Validate correct brand and loading volume selection prior to loading
  • Initiate actual loading
  • Retrieve bill of lading and verify accuracy prior to departure
  • Observe all speed limits and DOT rules
  • Refrain from texting and smoking during travel
  • Demonstrate patience and personal control during transportation process
  • Verify location by address prior to initiating delivery process & identify presence at the facility
  • Verify tank content volume and calculate delivery gallons
  • Load tank & Verify tank volume and validate delivery volume
  • Take immediate action on any problems that occur such as hose rupture, flash fire, or spill.
  • Deliver bill of lading and all paperwork to the office at the end of the day
  • Wears all requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Reports incidents (operational and/or safety related), as instructed, in a timely manner.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must have a Class A CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements.
  • Must be able to clear all background checks required by the Company, customer and government.
  • Individuals are responsible for maintaining all required licenses and certifications in a current and valid status at all times.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Moderate computer skills are required.
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Should be willing to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. Shifts may rotate.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to climb steps and ladders.
  • Able to consistently bend, stoop, kneel and climb on and off elevated surfaces
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • No DWI, reckless driving, or hit and run convictions in the past 5 years. ALL felony convictions must be reviewed by Human Resources.
  • Must have reliable telephone number to be contacted.
  • Consent to and pass pre-employment/random/reasonable cause and post-accident drug and/or alcohol screens.
  • Be able to perform pre/post-trip inspections
  • Must present good attitude and appearance at all times.
  • Must comply with all standards set forth by the local, state and federal laws.
  • Climb transport ladders and walk top platform of trailer to check compartments for fuel retained.
  • Be able to bend in order to pull up a metal plate weighing 25 pounds and to connect a gasoline fitting to an above/underground storage tank.
  • Be able to use proper lifting techniques to connect or disconnect fittings or hoses to an above/underground storage tank consisting of units weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to gasoline vapors.
  • Be able to withstand extreme temperature.
  • Keep customer and Company information confidential at all times.
  • Take and record stick readings and water readings.

Education /Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must have prior petroleum transport experience
