Benefits Analyst
Description

The primary objectives of the People Support Team are: (1) to create and deliver programs and processes that will help attract, develop, and retain top performers at all levels of the organization,

(2) support restaurant crew, managers, and operations staff so they can focus on running great restaurants; and (3) bring Chipotle’s People Culture to life through innovation and creativity.


The Benefits Analyst participates in strategy development and solutions implementation for global benefit programs. He/she also monitors and evaluates compliance of all benefits programs.

The Analyst works on communication design and delivery as well as the wellness program.

Responsibilities

In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


•Managing benefit plans, including analyzing international trends

•Managing day to day wellness program, working cross functionally with other departments such as Sustainability and Marketing

•Partnering with internal communications to develop effective and culturally aligned benefits communications across benefit programs

•Directing process improvement across benefit administration

•Managing relationships with third party plan providers, and other external vendors

•Making recommendations for required policy or practice regarding ACA, ERISA, FMLA, and ADA

•Evaluating compliance of all benefit plans and where necessary, recommending and implementing processes and procedures to bring plans into compliance

•Managing 401(k) plan administration

•Working with brokers/vendor partners to ensure that ongoing compliance evaluations are conducted. Monitoring, analyzing, and recommending compliance actions for new and evolving benefit legislation


The ideal candidate will:

•Have a working knowledge of federal and state legislation, and legal issues related to the benefits industry

•Be knowledgeable in health and welfare benefits, and have a basic understanding of insurance concepts

•Have experience with Benefits Administration in Workday

•Be able to manage multiple priorities and projects

•Have organizational and time management skills, be able to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines

•Be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed

•Believe that clear communication, organization, and timeliness are essential

•Have excellent attention to detail along with strong proofreading skills

•Have a B.A./B.S in a related field, with three (3) to five (5) years Benefits or Human Resources experience; or an equivalent in education and experience

•Have knowledge of and the ability to use a PC as well as Microsoft Office Suite

•Be a strong written and/or verbal communicator

•Enjoy making presentations to all levels of employees

•Maintain confidences

•Have the ability to travel occasionally

•Have broad experience and advanced knowledge of benefits administration and operations

•Have previous experience managing time/leave of absence and voluntary benefit programs.
