About this job
Responsible for the timely and accurate processing and closing of underwritten loans. Those loans may include FHA, VA, FNMA, Jumbo loans, Consumer or other types of loans. This person will maintain effective communication with the Loan Officer and other team members to ensure corrdination and exchange of information to help ensure the proper closing of the loan on time. Will also be responsible for validating loan data, collecting all required documents, and reviewing data on our Automated Underwriting System to ensure it meets proper criteria. May also be asked to assist the Mortgage Lending Production Manager by helping to maintain a pipeline of loans, be familiar with Federal and State regulations governing lending, demonstrate good speaking and listening skills, help with the pre-qualifying process, help to negotiate terms and conditions in accordance with credit union standards, review files for completeness and to correct errors or deficiencies, give prompt and courteous service to team members, and to customers, take down complete and accurate loan application and enter it into computerized mortgage system, assist with the lockdown of loans with Secondary Marketing group, understand loan terms and conditions, keep lenders updated on loan status, have general Credit Union understanding, understand what proper documentation entails, understand federal and state lending regulations, research discrepencies to help find resolution, gather required loan documents to ensure the loans meet approval, assist other departments with various projects and at various stages of the loan approval process, go over loan documents to make sure they are complete and signed as needed, and related tasks and duties. Previous Loan Oficer experience is a strong plus. Open as well to Loan Processors, and Loan Reps.
