Drafter/ Designer

Aerotek CE is currently seeking an AutoCAD Drafter for a growing company in the Vancouver Area. This is a 6 month contract to hire position open for immediate employment.

This person will be drafting concrete precastings for construction projects, using AutoCAD 2D and 3D to create quick and accurate drawings for the shop floor. There will be communication between the shop floor in order to accurately design and draw castings that can be read and used to create product. This company is growing but sometimes in this role you will need to answer customer calls occasionally if other engineers are tied up. Day to day this person will draft and edit several different drawings. This position requires flexibility to move to urgent needs.

Qualifications include:

• 5+ years of drafting experience
• AutoCAD drafting, will train them to use Titan as well occasionally
• AWS Welding call-out implementation
• Complete submittal package creation (Including fabrication drawings, sub-assemblies, complete assemblies, BOMs)
• Organized checking and drawing of custom designs
• Customer interaction
