Position Purpose:




Employee will work within a team environment. Will be responsible for answering escalated customer service calls regarding tracking packages, replacing parts for products, mail orders with missing information, etc. Partners will also answer calls directly from customers looking to place orders.

Essential Job Functions:

The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities w ith or without a reasonable accommodation.



  • Interact effectively and professionally extending both courtesy and friendliness to fellow partners and customers. This includes but is not limited to the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing for documentation of customer files, e-mailing or writing letters to customers, and conveyance of information to supervisors. Proficient typing and computer skills desired. Microsoft Word & Excel are utilized daily.
  • The position also involves communicating with merchandising/buying partners, vendors, shippers with an understanding of the various shipping time frames.
  • Ability to multi-task, independently problem solve and think outside the box, making the customer issue at hand top priority.
  • Work within a team environment.
  • Additionally, customer support partners are responsible for ensuring that Drs. Foster and Smith/PETCO’s standards are upheld with regard to quality interactions with all customers.
  • This position may involve additional training in various areas such as aquatics; including, but not limited to, aquariums both fresh and salt water.

Open cubicle environment with some standing and movement within the department depending on task assigned

Minimum Requirements:
Education/Experience:

High School Diploma/GED equivalent desired.

Basic computer knowledge, knowledge of Microsoft office, Excel. Good verbal & written communication skills, basic math skills, are a requirement.

Previous customer service experience desired but not required.
