Physician Urgent Care - Las Vegas, NV-$30K sign on - Full-time / Part-time

Southwest Medical Associates (SMA) is a multi-specialty group of physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants consisting of over 300 providers, 21 medical health centers including six urgent care clinics, four convenient care centers, two lifestyle centers catering to older adults, an outpatient surgery center, plus E-visits and online options via Now Clinic telemedicine technology.  SMA offers patients compassion, innovation, and quality care throughout southern Nevada. SMA is headquartered in the greater Las Vegas, NV area. 
 
We prefer family physicians with emergency medicine or urgent care experience.  Our staff is comprised of physicians and mid-level providers who are comfortable with a higher level of acuity and who are skilled in a vast array of outpatient procedures.  Our facilities are modern and well-equipped, with on-site laboratory testing and radiology, including CT and ultrasound, and are supported by an exceptional nursing staff.  Our electronic medical records are state-of-the-art, with digital radiology and electronic prescriptions.  The main 24-hour office is a high-acuity urgent care, with an attached observation unit and chest pain center.  The practice encompasses nearly the full scope of medicine, with ample opportunity to hone procedural skills.
 
The schedule is equitable and flexible, with ample time off.  Providers work primarily three 12-hour shifts a week, with some weekends and occasional night shifts (averaging 15 nights a year).  Holidays are evenly divided among the providers.  Additional shifts, which are paid at a premium rate, are also available.  The schedule is ideal for those who desire an alternative work schedule and who do not wish to conform to a traditional five-day workweek.  Importantly, our turnover rate is extremely low.
  
Providers will rotate through SMA Wal-Mart Fast Cares. Providers work primarily three 12-hour shifts a week, with some weekends and occasional night shifts (averaging 15 nights a year). Holidays are evenly divided among the providers. Additional shifts, which are paid at a premium rate, are also available.

Required Qualifications:


M.D. or D.O., appropriate residency/fellowship training in his/her specialty

Ability to read, write, and clearly speak English, bilingual skills a plus

Excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills

Must have completed an ACGME accredited residency, must be board certified or Board Eligible (ABMS or ABOS) in his/her specialty

Active medical license in Nevada or ability to obtain
