2nd and 3rd shift Maintenance Technician

Contractor will be working as a Maintenance Technician performing work on Allen Bradley PLC's or Mitsubishi. The candidate will also do work on VFD's, gearboxes, servo motors, hydraulics, pneumatics. Minimum of 8 years of experience is required and having worked in a machine shop a plus. This position requires you to have your own hand tools and meters. This is a contract to hire position based on experience for pay.

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform basic mechanical/electrical repairs on equipment
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives
• Must be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and shop drawings
• Ability to pull screw's and take measurements to determine barrel and screw wear
• Diagnose and repair all machinery related to manufacturing including but not limited to: injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, robots, and fabrication and assembly machines
• Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment
• Ability to install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers/robots
• Ability to use cutting torch and welding equipment
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principals
• Perform and/or assist with weekly/monthly/annual preventative maintenance tasks
• Perform and/or assist with weekly/monthly/annual inspections
• Understands and applies Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedure and follows safety procedures
• Maintains a neat and organized work area
• Support all building/facility requirements as directed by management
• Repair and maintain physical structure and grounds of facilities
• Ability to program PLC's using a laptop and perform more complex wiring

REQUIREMENTS:

• Open to a 6 day work week and flexible for any shift
• 4 plus years of experience in a manufacturing facility
• Experience working on Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley PLC's
• Experience VFD's, gearboxes, servo motors, hydraulics, pneumatics
• Must provide your own tools/equipment
• Open to a facility that is colder than usual since it is a food industry facility
