We have multiple business units within Optum that are looking for Operations Interns. Across those groups are teams focused on clinical operations, process improvement projects, data analytics, claims, systems and platform effectiveness, and project management. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:-Project management: ownership/support of projects in an effort to more effectively manage the business-Conducting analysis/reporting for operations projects relating to efficiencies, project selection, program level metrics-Process improvement projects: handling projects for both the claims groups and/or our network team-Applying technology solutions to solve operational problems-Working across functions to accomplish goals of the operations-Process documentation and mapping

Requirements

-Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Finance, Accounting, or related business field from an accredited college/university. Junior class level preferred. -Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors. -Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA-Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)-Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite preferred UnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
