Time Warner Cable currently seeks a Director, Critical Infrastructure for our Critical Infrastructure group that is a department of TWC ' s Technology and Network Operations organization. This position supports our NaviSite branded data centers.

Position Summary
The Director Critical Infrastructure is accountable for the day-to-day operations and long term planning of TWC/ NaviSite Data Centers within the market. The successful candidate will lead a team of technicians and engineers responsible for all aspects of the electrical power distribution, cooling, fire suppression, rack space, monitoring, and preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance.

As the leader for critical infrastructure within the market, developing partnerships with internal and external vendors/partners is a key element to this role. Will assist with the development of critical infrastructure strategy nationwide working with peers and senior management.

The position will develop and implement policies, procedures metrics, inspection programs, security programs, training and service level agreements. Prepare, present and execute against annual departmental budgets including monthly financial review and forecasting. Research and development of sustainability-related enhancements and promote sustainability initiatives with a focus on energy efficiencies.

The position plans and budgets for facility expansions of various systems to handle service capacity growth.

Essential Job Functions:Ensure 100% Availability of critical infrastructure.Manages associates including: performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow planning and day-to-day administration, hiring and placement, and disciplinary actions.Responsible for managing the activities of a technical team that provides support to infrastructure (network, storage, servers, etc.) for a 24 x 7 data center. Scope includes adds, moves and changes, communications / cable plant installation and smart hands services. Duties will include assigning tasks to team members as needed to support the operations of the data center and provide technical leadership for Market Data Center Team.Ensures that best practices, standards and operational guidelines are followed to create a highly available data center.Creates and maintains a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and a strong team orientation.
· Identify, design, and/or research new technologies to create system efficiencies, process improvements, preventative maintenance, and/or cost-saving measures.
· Serve as the liaison to various external organizations regarding sustainability.
· Provide oversight and direction for regional improvements required to maximize availability of TWC’s products and services as it relates to Critical Infrastructure.
· Conduct assessments of TWC facilities against the ATG Basis of Design. Assist the regions with determining the appropriate corrective actions to mitigate risks identified during the assessment process.
· Conducts interim facility reviews to document data center environmentals, contaminants and efficiencies.
· Perform other duties or responsibilities as required or assigned.

Job Requirements:
7-10 years of leading people – team of 15 or more.Extensive knowledge of data center certification protocols7 – 10 years experience in Data Center Services, i.e. rack and stack, communications cabling, smart hands services.Extensive knowledge of Data Center Design Requirements.Energy Efficiency experience including Energy Audits, Energy Modeling, Sustainable Design, Lifecycle Cost Analysis, Building Commissioning Process and LEED projects.Solid understanding of industry best practices for a variety of data center design elements (site selection, facility design, room ready requirements, pre-occupancy requirements) and environmental support infrastructure requirements (architectural, electrical, mechanical, fire detection and suppression, building automation & monitoring, low-voltage voice and data cabling and security).Must have the ability to facilitate and lead teams/groups in adaptation of new and improved engineering and energy practices.Must have excellent relationship building skills.Proven development of practices, procedures and/or curriculum and training of groups in applying new energy/enviro practices.
