JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB PURPOSE:  Inventory control and management. Truck delivery organization and management. Loss prevention for all units.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working knowledge of the airport layout, airport security policies, and airport waste disposal policies
  • Assist receiving and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing
  • Read internal customer orders to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed
  • Sweep, dust, and mop.  Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
  • Wear the proper safety equipment
  • Assist with loss prevention for all units
  • Assist with re-stocking inventory for units as needed

REQUIRMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 1 year of warehouse/utility experience
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and product documentation.  Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management.  Ability to communicate on the telephone with proper etiquette.
  • Knowledge of basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  Ability to use calculator. Must be able to complete monetary transactions (with or without the POS System)
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with customers and co-workers
  • Ability to positively and pro-actively handle customer concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule based on business needs, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 60lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
  • Ability to constantly move, talk, hear, reach, and stand.  May involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
