Position Summary:
We seek to fill a Contract Administrator/Paralegal position.  This individual must be detail oriented, proficient in English grammar, organized, proactive, and have the ability follow through tasks with limited supervision.
The primary function of this position is to assist our General Counsel with managing a diversified, high volume legal practice.  The person in this position will handle a variety of matters as needs arise with respect to leases, contracts, insurance, litigation and corporate legal affairs.
Principal Responsibilities:
 
  • Act as primary point of contact for requests for legal review requests and advice from our US and Canada banners.
  • Review agreement revisions and outline changes for review and comment by legal.
  • Maintain and file legal documents on daily basis.
  • Perform research on business requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain a database of real estate leases, contracts, permits, and other legal documents and update on ongoing basis.
  • Act as a liaison between the Legal, Operation, Real Estate, Marketing, Merchandising and Store Managers on legal requests.
  • Prepare policies and procedures under guidance of and as requested by counsel.
  •  Perform administrative tasks such as filing, conference calls, travel, expenses, calendars, on daily basis.

  • Ability to proactively follow through with tasks independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including basic contract drafting skills
  • Strong sense of protocol and discretion appropriate to assist top level executives
  • Results-oriented, with an ability to perform in a performance driven culture. 
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft and Excel applications with ability to learn and adapt to other document and database formats. 


 
Education/Experience
 
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college (English, History, or Sociology majors preferred); paralegal certificate a plus.  
  • Minimum of 2- 5 years of paralegal or contract administration experience with large or mid-size law firm and/or corporation.
