About this job

Responsible for the direct daily supervision of the Pharmacy Technicians located in the Item Entry, Failed Claims, Dispensing, and Doctor Call Departments. To include, but not limited to, providing leadership and direction by establishing clear expectations, communicating specific performance feedback and timely and thorough performance reviews.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Manage daily workflow planning to ensure quality and productivity goals are achieved
Promote and monitor compliance with standards, policies and procedures
Conduct daily meetings which include reporting of production hours, project volume and department staff to meet operations needs and goals
Ensure prompt resolution of exceptions to meet service objectives
Confer with management team to recommend changes in order to avoid recurring customer complaints and ensure consistency
Manage performance coaching process and internal quality counseling guidelines
Develop and coordinate pharmacy activities to ensure operational quality and productivity goals are successfully met
Manage timely processing of orders from entry through shipping
Facilitate operational work flow to maximize patient service
Direct and support production and quality activities and priorities in keeping with quality control and cost factors
Ensure all established performance and quality standards are maintained

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

2-year college degree or equivalent in Business or Healthcare or related field, or equivalent management experience in the health care industry (a combination of experience and education will be considered)
2+ years of experience in a supervisory/ management capacity in a high volume production or process oriented environment
Effective communication skills and the ability to build strong business relationships that inspire trust and motivate employees
Strong organizational and problem solving skills
Proficient with MS Office
Strong analytical and statistical abilities
Strong leadership skills
Coaching and facilitation skills
Ability to make decisions in a fast paced, high stress environment
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
