The Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for the processing and
data entry of member and prescription information to support the management and
delivery of prescription medications. Position may require making outbound
calls or faxing members or providers to obtain further patient or prescription
information.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Sunday.
Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift
schedules during our normal business hours of (24 hours per day, 7 days per
week, 365 days per year). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work
occasional overtime or holidays. Our office is located at 4805 E. Thistle
Landing DR, Phoenix, AZ 85044.

On- the-job training and test prep courses may be available
for those individuals interested in pursuing a Pharmacy Technician
certification.

Primary Responsibilities:

Processes incoming mail from Optum RX members
related to pharmacy orders and actions to include sorting, prepping orders and
formatting paperwork. Verify all
required member personal and prescription information and completes data
entry/updates into appropriate systemContacts members for needed information related to
their pharmacy orders; request payment information from members    Verifies and apply payment and/or benefit plan
information to members pharmacy ordersSubmit/place orders by sending outgoing faxes for
prescriptionsReview pharmacy orders to determine if follow up
is required or to identify appropriate department for routing









Requirements

Required Qualifications:

1 year of customer service experience analyzing
and solving customer problemsAn education level of at least a high school
diploma or GED OR 10 years of equivalent working experienceFamiliarity with computer and Windows PC
applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer
system applicationAbility to remain focused and productive each day
though tasks may be repetitiveAll new hires will be required to successful
complete Pharmacy Operations training classes and demonstrate proficiency of
the materialCall Center is open 24/7 including weekends and
holidays; open availability is a must!
