Job Responsibilities
As an Automotive Service Assistant Store Manager, you will assist in overseeing our service team and ensure that our customers consistently receive the responsive, high-quality vehicle service they've come to expect from us.
Your duties include:
Provide customers with professional and educated recommendations on tire purchases as well as repair and maintenance needs Assist in building and leading a team that is committed to executing outstanding work and providing exceptional customer service Assist in managing your store's budget and finances Assist in handling and resolving customer complaints Maintain current knowledge of chances and additions to our product lines, service and sales techniques and mandated awareness programs Follow through on commitments to our customers and ensuring that all work is completed on time and done right the first time
You will also provide our customers with a full range of repair and maintenance services, including the following:
Oil changes State inspections A/C system services Fluid changes Scheduled maintenance Maintenance inspections Brake services Steering and suspension services Battery or electrical services Tune-Ups Shock and strut replacement Exhaust system and muffler services Wiper blade changes
Requirements It is important that you have excellent communication skills and the ability to explain repairs to customers in a friendly and understandable manner as well as a firm commitment to providing superior customer service. You must have strong mechanical skills, solid organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
Specific qualifications include:
Automotive technician skills with sales and/or management experience preferred; experience in the retail automotive service industry preferred Ability to maintain enthusiasm and a professional demeanor at all times Availability to work a flexible schedule to cover store hours, including Saturdays and Sundays Minimum 5 year experience with vehicle repairs; ASE certifications desired Experience using store equipment such as lifts, welders, scanners and brake lathes correctly Must have own set of tools and/or willingness to participate in company's tool purchase program At least 18 years of age Valid driver's license State Inspection license, a plus Available transportation Ability to perform all job functions that require lifting and or carrying single items weighing at least 50 lbs., as well as functions and activities such as pulling, pushing, bending, standing, lifting, reaching, etc.
