About this job

Responsible for assisting with the review and processing of OASIS assessment (SOC, ROC, Recerts) for assigned care centers, demonstrating fiscal responsibility and maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Receives and reviews patient OASIS assessments for assigned care centers.

2. Reviews and verifies accuracy of OASIS patient status items compared to other related patient documentation, and Plan of Care to assure completeness and accuracy.

3. Assists in evaluating needs of the patient and suggests referrals to other disciplines as indicated by the patient's needs.

4. Identifies need for OASIS/documentation education in agencies and provides this education.

5. Keeps abreast of new developments in OASIS by maintaining contact with others in the field and using available resources.

6. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Current unencumbered license to practice as a Registered nurse in all states in the assigned territory.

Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) documents the following: The mutual recognition

model of nurse licensure allows a nurse to have one license (in his or her state of

residency) and to practice in other states (both physical and electronic), subject to

each state's practice law and regulation. Nurses must legally reside in a NLC state to be eligible to have a multi-state license. See list of Nurse Licensure Compact States

2. One (1 ) year ICD-10 coding and OASIS experience

3. HCSD or BCHH-C ICD-10 and OASIS (COS-C/COS-O) certification.
