BON SECOURS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for performing all necessary functions to ensure optimal use of medications to achieve specific outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life, under direct supervision of a pharmacist, as prescribed by law and regulation for New York State and in accordance with the objectives, planning, and directives assigned to the areas of responsibility assigned by the Director. Duties and responsibilities should be performed in a manner consistent with the Bon Secours mission and values. This position is tasked with providing excellent customer service to our Patients, Physicians, and Nurses. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Current experience as a pharmacy technician is required.2. Technician certification preferred.3. Experience with automated dispensing machines and EPIC preferred.4. Demonstrated basic pharmacy skills 5. Demonstrated customer services skills 6. Basic computer and keyboarding skills including MS Office applications 6. Ability to identify medications and to read graduation marks on syringes and flasks 7. Strong planning, prioritizing and organizational skills 8. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
