As a Finance Senior Analyst at PepsiCo, you will be a key Finance contact responsible for providing the financial expertise and recommendations that enable effective decision-making within the business. The Financial Senior Analyst will be the key finance contact for the NAN R&D team. The Finance Senior Analyst will provide overall support for the period end results, preparation of forecasts, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Innovation Growth or Integrated Business Plans, along with financial analysis, reporting and budgeting.
Responsibilities include:
Financial analysis supporting global and regional R&D teams and a budget of $100MM.
Work with NAN R&D team to understand projects and spend to ultimately provide a detailed bottoms-up build of project forecasts each period by WD4, developing a hands-on understanding of the projects
Participate in quarterly calls with NAN Finance to provide transparency of project spend, communicating any risks or opportunities
Provide financial reports to manager and all budget owners each period, including back-up, such as detail of YTD spend activity, EOS charges and open PO's.
Input the period forecasts in SAP for all cost centers on WD4
Handle all period journal entries including consolidation of all requests, obtaining appropriate approvals and documentation and uploading to SAP
Manage all capital accounting for Global R&D, including opening/closing projects, return on investment calculations, leading forecasting meetings, tracking project expense dollars, interfacing with local capital projects team, NASS Capital Accounting teams, etc, all while working closely with Barrington VP site leader and R&D Controller to monitor spend and ensure proper compliance with policy
Build accurate depreciation forecasts each quarter
Manage non-capital project accounting for the facility, including opening/closing internal orders, tracking and forecasting expense dollars on Nutrition global and regional projects, and working with the Plano Purchasing team to ensure internal orders are added to the Global Requisitioning Tool (GRT)
Manage internal control activities including document management, records retention and SAP auditing. Lead all new process control initiatives for the site.
Provide troubleshooting support for systems/processes
Support ad hoc projects as needed
Assist with the fixed asset audit by partnering with an external vendor to ensure SAP fixed asset records are updated to reflect all changes (every three years)
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 3+ years experience
Strong team player who can work with cross functional teams at varying levels (L03 to B03)
Advanced computer skills including SAP and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including lookups, pivot tables and creating templates to create updated reports quickly each period
Willingness to put in extra hours and assume additional responsibilities as needed during peaks of high activity
Strong attention to detail and positive "can do" attitude
Solid organization, presentation and communication skills
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions
Results-oriented, ability to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner, and ability to multitask
Professionalism and maturity to work on own with limited daily supervision
Ability to build relationships, manage conflict and embrace change
