The Omni Charlottesville Hotel offers 208 beautifully appointed guestrooms and suites featuring panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, along with a full service restaurant and 12,000 square feet of meeting space. The Omni is located in the heart of downtown at the base of the downtown pedestrian mall. Our location offers a wide variety of local restaurants, pubs, entertainment venues, or even just to take a scenic walk and enjoy the culture of Charlottesville. There are numerous local historic sites that have played a unique role in American history which include: Monticello, the University of Virginia, Ash Lawn-Highland, Historic Court Square and Michie Tavern. Job Description:

To direct and assist guest and associates with communication needs in acccordance with Omni standards.

Responsibilities:

Answer incoming telephone calls to the hotel efficiently and courteously. Direct phone calls and messages to appropriate personnel or guest. Assist all guest and associates. Initiating Omni prompt responses help line by logging information regarding problems/situations which require prompt attention and relaying to appropriate personnel. Recording and making wake-up calls. Receiving and sending facsimile messages as needed, as well as operating cell phones as necessary. Assist at Front Desk when necessary. All other projects as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

Computer skills required. Must have the ability to work alone, with others and remain at work station for entirety of shift. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Must have customer service experience with excellent written and especially verbal communication skills. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
