A Day in the Life:



Payroll:




  • Responsible for bi-weekly processing of the US payroll.

  • Ensures payroll is processed efficiently and accurately.

  • Act as a liaison to employees to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.

  • Verifies files from outside departments for accuracy.

  • Audits employee pay records and corrects discrepancies.

  • Audits and approves time cards for accuracy following company, state and federal guidelines.

  • Data input for new hire paperwork, and employee changes which includes but is not limited to:  W4 forms, direct deposit, garnishments, and support orders.

  • Communicate cross functionally across and outside the business.

  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, including maintaining records Manage and optimize companies insurance policies including: D&O, Workman's Comp General Liability, which includes monthly reporting and renewal applications



General Accounts




  • Prepare and assist with financial and tax audits, including all financial and tax reporting Complete tax credit applications annually for various areas of the business

  • Manage bank deposits and reconcile bank statements

  • Build inventory assemblies against products sold in Quickbooks on a recurring basis

  • Manage monthly expense reporting including, reviewing, entering and reimbursing

  • Prepare, post and submit payroll, including necessary payroll reports; the company uses an outsourced payroll provider

  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer when required

  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends



Must Haves




  • Associates Degree or higher in accounting, business administration or equivalent field

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Extensive knowledge of Quickbooks accounting software, including inventory modules

  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with other team members across multiple levels of the organization

  • Possess attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents

  • Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions

  • Ability to perform advanced mathematical functions

  • Ability to accommodate changes in project priorities with short notice

  • Ability to work against strict deadlines with accuracy

  • Possess strong sense of honesty and integrity with confidential company information

  • PC/Mac knowledge and proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
