Responsibilities:
Operate a gas or electric powered lift truck for the purpose of transporting, loading, unloading or storing goods. This activity may take place in any warehouse area to include aisles, bin locations, storage areas and docked trailers. This position could receive general instructions from a leadperson but reports directly to either a supervisor or a manager.
Operate equipment in a safe manner as outlined in JSA.
Perform pre-operational safety checks and complete a vehicle inspection report before operating equipment.
Recharge lift truck battery or replace/refuel gas tank.
Unload goods from storage areas, bin locations or trailers.
Understand and follow instructions given by the onboard RF unit.
Correctly operate the hand-held scanning device.
Manually load/unload pad or other material not designed to be handled by forks or pole.
Other duties as assigned by supervison. Must be receptive to all training related to the lift truck operator position or any cross training deemed necessary by supervision.
Qualifications:
Must be able to Read & Write English
Must be able to pass eye exam Ability to lift 85 lbs several times during shift Must have or be able to obtain lift truck certification throught Mohawk's certification Must have ability to mount & dismount lift truck repeatedly Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend and twist without restrictions. Vision must be correctible 20/40. Must be able to operate lift truck controls Preferably has Lift Truck Operator experience. *M*
