Wells Fargo Capital Finance (WFCF) offers traditional asset-based financing, specialized senior secured financing, accounts receivable financing purchase order financing, and supply chain financing to a wide range of companies throughout the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom.

The Financial Analyst Program is a three-year program that provides you with a strong foundation in asset based lending; analyzing collateral, company financials and identifying potential risks so that you can make informed lending decisions. The program is designed to help you transition from your academic life or limited Corporate Finance experience to the competitive world of business and blends classroom and online courses with hands-on training in the Retail Finance ("Retail") division. Retail clients primarily consist of large regional and national retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada, with credit facilities ranging in size from $20 million up to $4 billion.

The Financial Analyst (FAP) will work on a team with Account Executives (AEs), Loan Administrator(s) (LAs) and a Loan Portfolio Manager (LPM). This person will develop a working understanding of inventory collateral and be closely involved in daily account management. This person will also maintain and analyze financial information provided by borrowers and work with internal business partners to share information and address issues.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Assist Account Executives in preparation of Credit Modification Requests (CMR) including detailed write-ups for review and discussions with Senior Credit Committee members; Perform financial and credit analysis of borrower's financial statements, business plan and liquidity forecasts; Review all covenant and compliance testing for assigned accounts; Maintain Financial Statement Spread (FSS) system for assigned accounts; Prepare responses to all audits and appraisals for review and approval of the AE; Perform regular review and analysis of required reporting submitted by borrowers including borrowing base certificates; Keen focus on all necessary compliance requirements; work with AE, LA and Director of Audit/Appraisals to address significant trends or changes in key asset valuation and credit indicators or variables; Complete periodic projects assigned by LPM and support the AEs as directed; Assist with preparation of client strategies for targeted bank product services; Actively participate in periodic group and department meetings; and Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Hands-on experience is augmented with both classroom and online training. Training in your first year begins with a one-week credit and underwriting immersion class at our training campus in either San Francisco or Charlotte. Each subsequent year, you will participate in additional one week sessions where you reconvene with your fellow program participants to further develop your credit proficiency. We also offer you opportunities throughout the year to learn high-level aspects of credit, including a quarterly speaker series hosted by senior managers and online credit courses.

Required Qualifications

1+ year of experience In one or a combination of the following: financial analysis, credit analysis, statistical analysis, or statement spreading; or a BS/BA degree or higher
