About this job
The Food Demo Representative will demonstrate and sell products to promote sales by educating and informing customers in product knowledge and the location of items. Other duties may include merchandising product in innovative and eye catching ways and coordinating with department managers for product displays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet customers enthusiastically
- Provides excellent customer service by answering product-related questions and helping customers locate store merchandise
- Smile and make solid eye contact with customers
- Set up and organize cart/table for demonstration
- Prepare vendor products using Demonstration Product Information Sheet (DPIS) to enhance product display
- Serve samples and demonstrate products and explaining it-s attributes and features
- Maintain friendly, positive, well groomed appearance
- Maintain professional, clean, healthy and safe work environment
- Provides daily accurate and timely reporting of time worked and sales results
- Responsible for cleaning up work station area and assists other sales advisors as required
- Responsible for meeting sales quotas
- Attend required food safety and related trainings
- Follows and completes designated department SOPs daily
- Loads, unloads and moves products that are sometimes heavy or bulky
- Makes announcements over the store paging system as directed
- Ensures that all Federal, State and Company regulations and standards for product Food Safety and Sanitation are met
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Requires excellent communication skills, neat appearance, and good grooming
- Prior sales experience a plus
- Eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variable in standardized situations
