Responsibilities: Medical Assistants function as members of the health care delivery team and perform administrative and patient care functions. The duties of the medical assistant vary from department to department, depending on location, size, and specialty. Medical Assistants work within the Department of Nursing and can receive Nursing Director defined responsibilities that may be delegated by Physician and Registered Nurses. These defined responsibilities are within the scope of responsibility as described by this Job Description/Development Plan, nursing policy and the individual's competency level.
Qualifications: Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited medical assistant program with a diploma, CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. Basic Cardiac Life Support for healthcare providers- BCLS -- certificate of course completion required and must not expire within 3 months after start date. A scanned copy of the certificate of completion or transcripts, including your full name, must be attached to your profile to be considered.. Experience in ambulatory nursing preferred Ability to work effectively under stress and efficiently handle daily fluctuations in patient volumeAbility to work effectively and professionally with patients, co-workers and physiciansMust be proficient in speaking, reading and writing English
License or Certification: Certified MA and Must maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) competency
Benefit Eligible: Yes
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: 64
Schedule Details: The shifts would be for the standard Monday-Friday. The clinic hours are Monday and Wednesday 7 am to 6 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 745 am to 5 pm, and Friday 7 am to 4:30 pm. Position is for the Prairie Du Chien, WI MCHS Campus AND the Waukon, IA MCHS Campus.
Weekend Schedule: No weekends or holidays.
