Mechanical Engineer/ Project Manager

Description:

Company is looking for an experienced Project Manager with a Mechanical Engineering background to help us with our growing workload of oil & gas projects. The most qualified candidates for this position shall have experience running fast paced multi-discipline design projects and have an understanding of gas midstream facilities or related projects. Candidate should be a highly motivated individual who is well organized and can develop and sustain client relationships.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform initial project walk-thru and scoping. Work with project team to develop work break down structure and fees

Interface with the client from project inception through project close out, ensuring client satisfaction. Maintain continuous contact with clients even when projects are finished

Hold internal project meetings, provide guidance and direction for work progression, drive coordination between various disciplines, hold team members accountable

Develop project design schedules and timelines

Monitor project progress and identify potential problems early in the project development

Manage the Quality Control and Quality Assurance process

Maintain an understanding of the technical nature of the project to be able to have discussions with the owner, getting support from technical staff as required

Attend pre-bid meetings and construction conferences

Required Experience:

General Qualifications:

Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering background required

Gas Midstream experience a plus

Proficient in the use of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling software

Ability to interpret financial reports and earned value analysis

Good organization and communication skills

Education Requirements:

B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering

Professional Registration a plus
