Are you interested in gaining HR experience or starting your career in HR? Join our dynamic team to support the hiring of Teachers and other key staff in a temporary position, 40 hours a week February through October with a salary range of $17.50-19.00 per hour based on experience.  Hours and dates are subject to change based on business need.  

Essential Functions and Objectives:

The Human Resource (HR) Hiring Representative facilitates the new hire process for employees of the district.  Ensures accuracy, timely processing and compliance related to all new hire documentation and processes.  Specific duties include:

-  Provides exceptional customer service to new employees, hiring managers and internal customers; ensure information provided is complete, accurate and timely.

-  Acts as a resource to hiring managers and candidates to ensure understanding of the hiring process and respond to questions or concerns.

-  Ensures accurate and timely processing of all new hire activities for candidates using Infor HR system; meet established service level agreements.

-  Receives and validates qualifications, credentials and licenses required of school-based hires (Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Principals, support staff such as Nurses).  Verifies that candidates meet minimum requirements to be hired in the recommended position. Communicate with hiring managers and candidates if qualifications are not met and identify possible alternatives.

-  Confirms that a criminal background and professional references are completed for each new hire.

-  Determines starting salary for school based staff by assessing transcripts and education, and using established guidelines.

-  Generates offer letter correspondence and employment contracts; ensures documentation is accurate and quality reviewed

-  Enters new employee position information into Infor HR system.

-  Review and verify incoming and outgoing documentation for completeness, accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.

-  Supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications:

 -  A minimum of two (2) years' customer service experience. HR experience in a shared services environment preferred.

-  Experience with HRIS software, GHR, Infor and Lawson preferred.

-  Excellent organization skills and attention to detail required.

-  Previous experience working in a high volume recruitment or staffing environment strongly preferred.

-  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

-  Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.

-  Experience in credentialing and licensing helpful.

-  Demonstrated ability to organize, multi task, prioritize and manage a high volume, fast paced environment.

-  Knowledge of State & Federal teacher and principal licensure and No Child Left Behind (NCLB) regulations helpful

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
