A challenging and strategic position awaits the right person to join the Nestle-Purina Pet Care team. The Bloomfield plant produces the Tidy Cats brand of cat litter at its world-class mining and packaging facility located on the edge of the beautiful Ozark Plateau in southeastern Missouri.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all maintenance operations for a production facility encompassing nearly 500,000 square feet of production and warehouse facilities on a 36-acre campus, and will preside over a staff of approximately 50 maintenance technicians, supervisors, planner-schedulers, parts room supervisors and buyers. The Maintenance Manager will be strategically tasked with leading the Bloomfield plant on its TPM journey, and will therefore be responsible for introducing and implementing preventative, predictive, and autonomous maintenance concepts into existing plant operations.
Due to the strategic nature of this position, this will be a highly visible position within Nestle-Purina and the successful candidate can look for opportunities for upward mobility throughout the 22 factories spread throughout the United States and Canada as well as the corporate offices located in St. Louis, Missouri. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Administer the maintenance function of factory facilities, including building, grounds, machinery and equipment.
2. Implement preventative, predictive, and autonomous maintenance concepts into existing plant operations
3. Develop and manage a cohesive team of maintenance professionals.
4. Estimate, plan, submit and supervise maintenance costs.
5. Strategically plan for short and long term goals for factory growth
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
BS Degree in Engineering or related discipline
Experience:
* A minimum of 7 years of maintenance or engineering experience working in a manufacturing environment.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
