Our undergraduate summer internships are a great way to gain confidence, sharpen your skills and make a difference working side by side with people who value your enthusiasm and creativity.
The 2016 Summer Internship Program lasts 10 weeks, 40 hours a week, from June 6 th to August 12 th . As part of the program you'll participate in:
* A cross-functional project that provides solutions to a real business issue Aetna is facing, and the chance to present your recommendations to senior leaders at the end of the internship
* Community service initiatives
* Mentoring
* Networking events
* The opportunity to learn about our businesses and get exposure to senior leaders
Ready to be hands on in a fast pasted, innovative and collaborative organization? You'll be working with subject matter experts, team members and management across various teams and projects to ensure:
* Schedules and Deliverables are met
* Status updates are provided on project movement
* Critical Issues and Risks are managed
* Teams are working efficiently and collaboratively
Throughout the time with our team, you will be able to:
* Enhance your understanding of how data flows though Aetna systems (API's, File Interfaces, applications, etc.)
* Establish and apply a base level understanding for project management at Aetna
* Network across many different organizations
Requirements:
* Current student pursuing a 4 year bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar field of study
* Overall GPA of 3.0+ (Desired)
* Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
* Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
* An inquisitive nature with a passion to learn
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
* Experience with Windows Server/Workstation, JavaScript, Marklogic, Web Services, XML Knowledge a plus
