Melvin L. Davis Oil Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to perform maintenance of all equipment and physical structures in compliance with corporate/franchise standards, local, state and national codes and regulations to protect the asset, guests and employees, to ensure optimum operations, minimize expenses, and maximize guest satisfaction. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following(other duties assigned as needed):

  • Performs maintenance on pumps, refrigeration, mechanical and electrical equipment through a scheduled maintenance program.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment to minimize downtime at businesses.
  • A highly dependable employee who can be counted on to work independently.
  • Must maintain accurate records of various logs and meter readings.
  • Will require travel; will drive a company van and work at all locations as needed according to a schedule provided

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

  • Basic experience in refrigeration / HVAC
  • Previous maintenance experience required with 3-5 years preferred
  • Basic painting, electrical, carpentry and plumbing experience required
  • Ability to work on-call and occasional evenings or weekends a must due to the business demands of the industry, and the fact that the business provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year
  • Valid driver's license and insurance required to drive company van
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds with frequent reaching, grabbing, pulling and grasping
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, kneel and crouch for long periods of time
  • Must be able to perform basic math
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with customers, supervisors and fellow employees
