Our Consumer Credit Solutions (CCS) Unsecured Credit Risk t eam manages the credit quality of the unsecured CCS portfolios, partnering with Consumer Financial Services, Education Financial Services and Retail Services from origination through account management and authorizations to collections.

Wells Fargo Credit Card Acquisitions Risk is seeking a Credit Portfolio Consultant to join a dynamic, cross-functional team on the forefront of efforts to grow the business. Credit Card is focused on growth and is actively exploring new customer segments and new ways of targeting existing segments.

The Risk Strategy Offers Management team partners with Marketing, Targeting and Finance to develop and execute new account acquisition programs through multiple channels. The primary focus of this position is to be the Risk Subject Matter Expert for the Instant PreQual (IPQ) channel. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of unsecured credit risk management, be able to work proactively with partners in multiple groups and have the technical expertise to manage a channel that utilizes several systems (C2T, ECPR, Zoot and Provenir).

Duties for this position could include:

Supporting new account acquisition efforts through the Instant PreQual (IPQ) channel Assessing possible risk impact of partner teams' initiatives (first line of defense) Monitoring and evaluating risk performance Evaluating existing waterfall criteria and policies for changes Aligning criteria across Direct Mail, Invitation to Apply, Instant PreQual and across Cards and Lines and Loans where appropriate Managing risk of existing or new triggers for IPQ prescreen Supporting exploration of possible new audiences, products or response channels Writing and presenting business cases for senior management approval Representing Risk (Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Risk) on cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications

6+ years of risk experience 3+ years of SQL or SAS experience

Desired Qualifications

A BS/BA degree or higher Credit card industry experience

Other Desired Qualifications

Experience with credit card or other credit product Analytic and problem-solving experience Attention to detail Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint Excellent written and verbal communication skills Zoot experience Strong relationship-building skills Experience working on a cross-functional and/or multi-location team Demonstrated willingness to take initiative and ownership Ability to manage multiple projects General familiarity with marketing campaign structures Ability to see broader business picture in addition to Risk role
