Do you have a passion for aquatics and living a healthy way of life? We are looking for a Driven business owner passionate about Aquatics who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and will help oversee our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. A typical day for an Assistant Aquatics Manager could include:
*Registering Members for Swim Programs including Lessons, Swim Team and Masters Swim
*Casting, Training and Developing Aquatics team members including swim instructors, swim coaches and lifeguards
*Maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the aquatic facilities
Duties & Responsibilities
Member Experience
*Ensures Aquatics Team Members provide a safe, friendly and fun environment for members
*Responds to Member inquiries regarding Life Time Fitness programs, products, services, policies, and procedures in a professional and timely manner
*Assists in planning, offering, and registering members for group and private swim lessons
Sales & Promotional
*Promotes Life Time swim classes and makes appropriate class level recommendations
*Ensures Team Members understand and promote all Life Time aquatics programs
*Markets and promotes aquatics programs and activities in the club to increase participation
Financial & Budgetary
*Recommends necessary purchasing of department supplies to the Aquatics Department Head
*Assists in calculating revenue and budgetary guidelines for aquatics programs
*Monitors the budget and financial reports.
*Assists in driving revenue for aquatics programs
Managerial & Supervisory
*Completes and documents daily inspections to ensure pool area cleanliness and safety
*Assists in facilitating lifeguard training on pool safety and rescue techniques
*Trains team members through shadowing, orientation, direction and feedback
*Makes hiring, promotion, disciplinary, and termination recommendations
*Assists in organizing, communicating, promoting, administering, and supervising of all department and swim programming
*Immediately report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse relating to youth
Education & Experience
*Some college, or working towards a four year degree
*One year of customer service experience
*One year coaching and/or swim instructor experience
*One year lifeguarding experience
*One year of supervisory/management experience
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
*Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid
*NSPF Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred
*Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) preferred
*Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT) preferred
*Successfully complete and pass the U Swim School Certification
*Successfully complete and pass Aquatics Assistant Manager Training
*CPR/AED certification required within the first 3 months of hire
