A Life-Changing Career
Responsibilities: Assesses, develops, facilitates and evaluates programs to meet the educational needs of the hospital and clinic nursing staff. Partners with administration on organization-wide education programs. Coordinates or provides appropriate education to meet regulatory standards.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing with minimum of 5 years in nursing. One year of teaching preferred. Nurses with outpatient clinic experience strongly preferred.
Additional Qualifications: Must demonstrate strong formal and informal education skills. Must demonstrate proficiency in utilizing the nursing process. Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate knowledge of basic computer skills. Must demonstrate well developed verbal and written communication skills. Facilitates clinical and educational research as applicable. Must possess satisfactory physical/emotional health as evidenced by interviews, physical examination, and pre-employment drug screen. Must be able to flex hours to meet the demands of the clinical area.
License or Certification: Current Florida nursing license required. Obtains and maintains minimum of one national certification in specialty of choice.
Benefit Eligible: Yes
Exemption Status: Exempt
Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: Usually Monday through Friday, daytime hours but may include some off shifts and weekend commitments.
